This looks like a great site!
B03 is one of my grandfathers.
I've heard he has a twin brother and both have red hair.
Is this the sort of thing you trace.

Been researching my family line and have come to standstill with Jacob McAllister Sr.(McAlister) born in Virginia in 1774. Any suggestions in where to go gather more information?

I am honored to carry the McAllister name and am proud of our heritage.

My husbands grandmother was Margaret McAllister born 1884 from Clachan, Kintyre on the west coast of Scotland.
She had five brothers and 6 sisters (two lots of twins) which she was one of. Her father Angus 1855, his father Archibald 1821 and his father Angus 1778.
McAllister (lot of different spellings which is possibly because a lot of people could not write let alone spell in these days, which I think will explain why there are so many variations ) Lots of people from this part of the country left at the highland clearances and I believe sailed to North Carolina.
Ian MacDonald if you have heard of him. Ian lived in Clachan for a long time and is very elderly now but as bright and knowledgeable as ever he was. A lovely man and very very interesting to talk to.
If you have not heard Ian talk about the McAllister's you have missed out, he is wonderful to listen to.

I am kin to the McAlisters in middle TN through Great grandmother on maternal side of the family. Her diary (since authenticated by research) traces line to four McAlisters at the time of revolutionary war. Look forward to gathering my info and sharing on site with other kinsdmen. :D
