I think I am from the Coll McAlister (1743-1793) who was married to Janet Buie - line. I have been working on tracing my family lines back to when they came to America. I am also a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. Trying to find all my family ties there also.
Thank you.

I'm the grandson of Ruby Irene McAllister, great grandson of Earl Henry McAllister, 6th great grandson of Col. Richard McAllister. This site is amazing. I'm a novice at genealogy and have learned quite a bit from this site alone. I see that those who run this organization are in Arlington which is close to where I live and work. Thank for placing all of this information online!

The first history that I have is Somerlad McAlaster from 1020-1083, two sons, Gille ans.Gillebridge who married Ragehildof of Dublin. their son Somerled was killed in battle with King Malcolm IV of Scotland. I do have more, just looking to fill in some blanks.
my grandfather was William Henry McAllister, who's line as far as I have is linked to Angus MaAlaster from Londonderry, Ireland. I also have links to John McAlaster who married Janey(?) in New Hampshire in 1775. from my grandmother(who married William Henry McAllister, her name was Ruby Elnora Crooks, McAllister) she was a descendant of John Gordon and Thomas Crooks.
so if this is your line, I may have information that you need or maybe you have something I don't
Thanks Heather

Just beginning a search of McAlister's and/or McAllister's that were or may be in Pennsylvania. Supposedly, my grandfather, Carl McAllister, dropped an "L" from his children's birth certificates so it may have originally been spelled McAllister.

He had four children, John Henry, Charles James,
Vera and Edward.

My great grandfather was named John McAlister and was a blacksmith.

I am hoping to reconnect with remaining relatives.

Thank you
