CMA Committee Membership

Standing Committees

Publication Committee: Responsible for eliciting, editing, and publishing materials in various Clan McAlister of America digital and print media, including the Journal/Newsletter and website.

Membership Committee: Responsible for conducting membership campaigns to recruit new Clan McAlister of America members, welcoming and encouraging new members, and managing historical membership data.

Genealogy & Family History Committee: Responsible for collecting, organizing, sharing, and archiving information on McAlister family genealogy and history for Clan McAlister of America.

Budget & Finance Committee: Responsible for creating and maintaining fiscal responsibility for Clan McAlister of America, including reviewing and approving budgets and spending.

Gathering Planning Committee: Responsible for planning and executing the biennial physical meeting of members of Clan McAlister of America for social, educational, and business pursuits.

Nominating Committee: Responsible for developing in even-numbered years a slate of candidates for election to the Board of Directors, as well as a ballot packet to be sent to each Clan McAlister of America member for voting, and for tallying the votes for the biennial meeting.

Special Committees

ByLaws Committee: Responsible for reviewing current CMA bylaws for possible changes needed for the benefit of CMA and to ensure those bylaws conform both to Arkansas statutes and other CMA bylaws.

FTDNA McAlister Surname Project: Responsible for educational and research coordination for McAlister DNA.
